Live Blog: Sunday Night Football - 49ers at Giants

We wrap up our Sunday Funday the same way we always do, with a Sunday Night Football on NBC Live Blog and fellow Dish Network subscribers, you'll be happy to know that you should have NBC back on your satellite package. If you didn't know you'd lost it over the weekend because you don't care about golf, dressage or ice dancing, you are not alone. The San Francisco 49ers' diaper fire rolls into Met Life Stadium to take on the resurgent New York Giants (2-2). The Giants can take control of the NFC East with a win tonight. The 49ers (1-3) can pull into a tie with the St. Louis Rams and the Seattle Seahawks at 2-3 in the NFC West with a win, and if you can read that sentence without rolling your eyes at the very possibility of a 49ers victory, all I can say is thanks for reading the Live Blog, Coach Tomsula, but maybe you want to pay attention to the game you're supposed to be coaching. The game is on NBC at 8:20. Watch it with me. With the 49ers on the field, the jokes will come easy.

Live Blog: PBC Boxing on NBC SportsNet - O'Connor vs Bracero

We're back with our first Saturday boxing live blog in many a moon. The main event tonight pits Danny O'Connor (26-2, 10 KOs) against Gabriel Bracero (23-2, 4 KOs) in a fight that will surely go the distance at 146 pounds. The undercard may be the more interesting fight with Jonathan Guzman (19-0, 19 KOs) taking on Danny Aquino (17-2, 10 KOs) at 121 pounds. Guzman's record is beyond perfect, with nothing but stops on his resume. Aquino is going to be a real opponent for him and this should be the kind of showstopper you don't normally see at 121 pounds. The show is on NBC SportsNet at 8 p.m. Take a break from college football and playoff baseball and watch some men hit each other in the face. With me.

Live Blog: Thursday Night Football - Colts at Texans

Thursday Night football brings one of the NFL's premier teams to your living room, with just one problem. That team, the Indianapolis Colts, won't be bringing along its best player; Andrew Luck. Now, you'll be forced to watch Matt Hasselbeck run for his life from J.J. Watt for a few hours while the Houston offense sputters behind whichever quarterback Bill O'Brien has decided to pull out of the Texas Roadhouse kitchen and suit up. I think it's Ryan Mallett this week. Maybe. The game is on CBS at 8:25 p.m. Watch it with me. I'll make some jokes.

Live Blog: NLWC - Cubs at Pirates

Nearly a century of frustration is on the line as the Chicago Cubs face off against the Pittsburgh Pirates in a single-elimination National League Wild Card game. The winner gets the honor of facing off against the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Divisional Series. The loser gets to watch with the rest of us. The game starts at 8 p.m. on TBS. Let's watch a little history together.

Live Blog: PBC Boxing on FS1 - Jackson vs Uzcategui

It's Tuesday and that means Fox Sports 1 is blessing us with a little pugilism exhibition once again. We've got a good one in the main event at 165 pounds. Julius Jackson (19-0, 15 KOs) will take on Jose Uzcategui (23-1, 19 KOs) at the Cowboys Dance Hall in San Antonio, Texas. Scroll down for the live blog or read on for some previews. The primary undercard will be Miguel Vazques (35-4, 13 KOs) going up against Argenis Mendez (22-3-1, 12 KOs) at 135 pounds in a fight that will likely go the distance. The show is on Fox Sports 1 at 9 p.m. Let's watch.

Live Blog: Monday Night Football - Lions at Seahawks

Jim Caldwell brings his farewell tour to Seattle tonight as the Detroit Lions (0-3) line up to be sacrificed at the alter of the Seahawks (1-2), who've made the decision to go ahead and start winning games and beating the hell out of people. Like they do. Working out in Detroit's favor is the absence of Marshawn Lynch, the Seahawks' All-Word running back. Russell Wilson is still there, as is an underrated wide receiver corps and tight end Jimmy Graham, whose just now starting to look comfortable in Seattle's system. Kam Chancellor is back with the defense and that changes the whole complexion on that side of the ball. Detroit, oddly, is one of the few teams who should be able to challeneg the Seahawks defense with former 'Hawk Golden Tate and Calvin Johnson, who for some reason Jim Caldwell has decided to leave out of the gameplan this season. Matt Stafford is expected to play, but he's still banged up. The less said about the Lions' defense the better. The game starts at 8:15 p.m EST on ESPN. Watch it with me. I might make some jokes. With Jim Caldwell coaching, you can probably count on it.

Live Blog: Sunday Night Football - Cowboys at Saints

Drew Brees is going to start for the New Orleans Saints (0-3). Bradon Weedon is going to start for the Dallas Cowboys (2-1). That's probably all you need to know in this game. But we'll still watch it. The Saints have to win at some point and Weedon hasn't actually been awful, just not clutch like Tony Romo and that's what this particular Cowboys team demands. The game is on NBC at 8:20 p.m. Watch it with me. I'll talk about it. Make some jokes and talk about the other games of the day.

Live Blog: Thursday Night Football - Ravens at Steelers

An 0-3 start may have already doomed the Baltimore Ravens' playoff hopes, but the Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1) have shown up on the schedule at the right time. The Steelers are playing without Ben Roethlisberger for at least the next month and with just three days to prepare for this one, new QB Michael Vick will need Le'Veon Bell to carry most of the load tonight. The game is on CBS at 8:25 p.m. Watch and hang out with me. Sometimes I make jokes.

Live Blog: PBC Boxing on FS1 - Fortuna vs Velasquez

Our main event tonight is Javier Fortuna (28-01, 20 KOs) vs Carlos Velasquez (19-1-0, 12 KOs) for the WBA World super featherweight title. In the undercard, we go up a few weight classes with two undefeated fighters. Domonique Dolton (17-0, 9 KOs) takes on Oscar Molina (13-0, 10 KOs). The show starts at 9 p.m. on Fox Sports 1. Watch it while I talk about it.

Live Blog: Monday Night Football - Kansas City at Green Bay

The Kansas City Chiefs (1-1) were a popular preseason pick to overtake the Denver Broncos in the AFC East. They aren't so popular any more. Green Bay (2-0) looks exactly like the NFC favorite. This should be a good game, regardless of what happened last week. What's better than Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers on Monday Night Football? Not much. Kick off is 8:25 p.m. Watch it with me. I might write something funny or informative. You never know.
