2019 Hungarian Grand Prix - LIVE - 3Legs4Wheels

So Max Verstappen has finally gone and got himself on pole position! It's taken him 92 races to get this and with the form he's in at the moment, 2 wins in the last 3 races, you'd expect him to convert this into his 8th win as well. This is a circuit that you'd think would suit RedBull too a tee with it's slow corners and heavy dependence on aero and downforce, but the boys in blue have only won this race twice in their history and both of those were won by Australians (Mark Webber in 2010 and Daniel Ricciardo in 2014) so are the odds stacked against (I don't believe I'm going to say this) the Flying Dutchman (sorry) this afternoon? We'll find out over the next couple of hours...

2019 Hungarian Grand Prix Qualifying - LIVE - 3Legs4Wheels

It's been a bit tricky to gauge form this weekend after the mixed weather during Friday's sessions and then Ralph Boschung's F2 car dumping a load of oil on turns 4 and 5 just before FP3 this morning, so there's not been the best opportunity got get accurate running data for all the teams so far. Could this have an effect on qualifying this afternoon? There's every chance we could get something unpredictable happening and with the Hungaroring being one of the hardest circuits to overtake on (it's sometimes known as Monaco without the walls), that could have implications lasting into the race tomorrow Paul's here to take you though it all

2019 German Grand Prix - LIVE - 3Legs4Wheels

So we weren't the only ones suffering from technical gremlins yesterday. Ferrari had a nightmare qualifying with Sebastian Vettel not even setting a time after suffering a turbo problem on his first outlap and Charles Leclerc missing out on running in Q3 with a fuel pump issue. So we're not even on the grid yet and Ferrari have it all to make up. Add the high chance of rain during the race to do that and we could be in for an eventful afternoon in Hockenheim. I'm on solo blog duties this afternoon, so I'll try and keep on top of things throughout the race...

It's all about the Silver Arrows this weekend at the Mercedes owned Hockenheimring for the Mercedes Benz German Grand Prix where they are celebrating 100 races and 125 years of motorsport. Shame that the cars haven't been up to the task this weekend. After the 3rd practice session this morning where they were only 4th (Hamilton) and 6th (Bottas) on the timesheets we could be looking at the prospect of a slight hiccup in their dominant 2019 season at the home race. Can Ferrari and RedBull capitalise on Mercedes lack of pace and will we see more heroics from Haas who got K-Mag up to 5th in this morning's session? Paul's here to take you through qualifying where we'll find out

2019 British Grand Prix - LIVE - 3Legs4Wheels

Formula 1 comes home! We're at Silverstone this weekend for the British Grand Prix (well we're not, we're still in the Isle of Man and haven't managed to get to a race to do the live blog from the circuit, but you know what we mean) and we could be in for another unpredictable race after Austria 2 weeks ago. The circuit has got a new surface that has only been finished in the last couple of weeks, there's a chance of rain and there's a coupe of red cars that aren't as fast as they looked at the start of Friday's practice session. We could be in for an interesting afternoon's racing and Paul, Sian & Chris will be here to take you though it...

F1's coming home and it will be for the next 5 years as well. After this week's announcement that the British GP at Silverstone is top stay on the Formula 1 calendar until 2024 at the very least it's time for qualifying for the most anticipated race in the last few years. RedBull are going into the weekend on a high after Max's win in Austria, Mercedes will be looking to get back to the top step that they've only given up once this year and Ferrari will look to break the hoodoo that's followed them this season when they've lost 2 races that they looked to have in the bag. Of course you can't win a race on Saturday (we say that every couple of weeks), but you can put yourself in a position where you can lose it, so will we see anyone make their Sunday harder than it needs to be? We'll find out over the next hour or so...

2019 Austrian Grand Prix - LIVE

What is going on with F1, we've had more controversy again from the FIA about grid penalties this time with a 3 place drop only setting Lewis Hamilton back 2 places being the main confusion and the only drivers that are starting where they qualified are Charles Leclerc in pole and Romain Grosjean in 11th, We'll try to explain what we think is going on, but once again the FIA have managed to confuse everyone. That aside we've got a Grand PRix today and for only the 2nd time this season we've got a Ferrari on pole position, hopefully Charles Leclerc will have the car to make the most of it today after he was let down by a control electronics problem on his last pole in Bahrain. Can he do it? Can Mercedes recover from 3rd & 4th on the grid and can Sebastian Vettel make up the places that he lost when he wasn't anle to take part in Q3 yesterday? Paul, Chris & Sian will be on blog duty today to take you though what happens...

Is this weekend going to be the remedy for the non-event that was the French Grand Prix last weekend? We bloody hope so. After the Parade in the south of France we move to the forests of Austria this weekend although as usual there's a bit of an orange tinge amongst the trees. Spielberg gets turned into a little bit of The Netherlands this weekend but can Max Verstappen send the Dutch contingent home happy? We'll find out how much he's on his way to it today

2019 French Grand Prix - LIVE - 3Legs4Wheels

Race huit (8) of the season and it's back to Europe for the Franch Grand Prix. It's getting warm in the south of France and there's a lot of teams with soft tyres that have been described as "gooey" by Daniel Ricciardo. We've got a Mercedes front-row lockout, a slow Ferrari (Vettel is starting in 7th) and a couple of surprisingly quick McLarens in 5th & 6th. We could be on for a good one today, if anyone survives that notorious run off area round the first corner? Paul's here with Chris, Dan & Sian to take you through the race

Can we please put what happened in Canada in the past and just get on with things that are happening on the track this weekend in France please? We've got a qualifying session at Le Castellet this afternoon to look forward to and there's some new developments with some cars that are already showing great progress. Renault have new aero parts and a Spec B engine for Danny Ric, McLaren have been in an experimental mode on Friday and that looks like it could pay dividends too. Of course it's been business as usual at the front with the top 3 teams being fastest in FP3 this morning, but how will things shape up when the times count for something...
