We're trying again to begin the NFL Preseason and this time I think we'll do it. The Jimmy Garoppolo era officially begins tonight as the New Orleans Saints travel to Foxboro for an NFL exhibition contest against the New England Patriots. The game is on the NFL Network, as well as your local stations in Louisiana and the New England area, at 7:30 p.m. Let's watch every second of it together like lovers do.

Live Blog: CBS Sports Net - Brant vs Fitzpatrick

These CBS Sports Network "Sports Spectaculars" are always kind of a crapshoot when it comes to quality fights, but we're up late and going to watch this one anyway. In the main event we've got Rob Brant (20-0, 13 KOs) taking on Chris Fitzpatrick (15-4, 6 KOs) in the main event at Temecula, Calif. in a 10-round fight. We've got a two-hour show, so we'll at least get two of the six-round prospect fights on the undercard. Skender Halili (10-1, 10 KOs) is going to fight somebody. Evidently the fight he was supposed to have fell through. Malik Hawkins (8-0, 7 KOs) is also fighting an unknown opponent. Both these unknown dudes are getting knocked out. Make no mistake. They might drag a couple of stooges from the audience. The fights are on CBS Sports Net at 11 p.m. Stay up late and watch them with me.
