Trinidad and Tobago do battle with Honduras from 8pm today at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva in a World Cup qualifying showdown. T&T have earned just three points from six matches in the six-team “Hex”, the final stage of CONCACAF qualifying, and will go all out for victory against the visiting Central Americans as they bid to keep their qualification hopes alive.

"Twenty-two athletes will fly the Red, White and Black at the August 4-13 IAAF World Championships in London, England. Keshorn Walcott, Michelle-Lee Ahye, Kelly-Ann Baptiste, Jereem Richards and Machel Cedenio are among the Trinidad and Tobago athletes who will bid for individual honours at the global meet. T&T will also battle for relay medals, and have high hopes for podium success in the women's 4x1 and men's 4x4 events."
The country’s best track and field athletes will be on show this weekend at the NGC/Sagicor/NAAA National Open Track and Field Championships, battling for selection on the Trinidad and Tobago team for the August 4-13 IAAF World Championships in London, England. Machel Cedenio, Keston Bledman, Michelle-Lee Ahye, Kelly-Ann Baptiste, Jehue Gordon, Cleopatra Borel and Jereem Richards are among the local stars seeing action at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain at what is certain to be an action-packed meet.
The Easter Invitational Grand Prix is considered to be the Olympic Games for both T&T and Caribbean cyclists as it is certainly the premiere track cycling event in the region. Trinidad and Tobago is quickly creating a reputation and building an exciting repertoire in the cycling world with the Easter International Grand Prix being synonymous with this.
A 49-strong Trinidad and Tobago team will be in the hunt for precious metal at the April 15-17 Carifta Games in Curacao. Khalifa St Fort leads the charge for Team T&T. The 19-year-old sprint star will defend her girls’ under-20 100 metres title, and will bid for the 200m crown as well. Tyriq Horsford is also a defending champion, and is heavily favoured to complete a hat-trick of victories in the boys’ under-18 javelin.
The FIH Men's World League quarterfinal round flicks off today and our focus will be the USA vs TT match at 8p.m.
