The trial is continuing of two men accused of the murder of a former charity fundraiser in Exeter. Brett Edwards, 38, and Thomas Killen, 33, deny the murder of 30-year-old James Woodhouse between November 1 and 22, 2016. Edwards, of Okehampton Road, St Thomas, and Killen, of North Lawn Court, Exeter, are standing trial at Exeter Crown Court. They are accused of beating him to death over a £700 drug debt. Read our live report from the courtroom below. Sir John Royce is the presiding judge in the trial which is expected to last four weeks. Mr Woodhouse's body was found in Okehampton Road on November 21. He was originally from York, had lived in Exeter for seven years and worked for some time for a company raising funds for charities. The trial has heard prosecution evidence that Mr Woodhouse's was addicted to heroin and crack cocaine. He went from earning £30,000 in a respectable job to a dishevelled and occasionally homeless drug user.
