Stanley Griffin Punishment Trial
In 2012 Stanley Griffin was convicted of strangling 29-year-old Jennifer Hailey to death at her College Station home. Her 9-year-old son had been chocked and stabbed in the neck several times but survived the attack. Friends say Griffin was the boyfriend of one of Hailey's former co-workers. He tried to move in with Hailey before the murder, but she refused. In 2016, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals threw out the death sentence for Griffin.
