The forecast from Launch Weather Officer Jessica Williams of the Space Force's 45th Weather Squadron indicates a 70 percent chance of acceptable conditions for Tuesday's launch of Atlas V and two telecommunications satellites for global operator SES.
A low pressure system developing off the mid-Atlantic states will drag a shallow cold front through the Central Florida region on Tuesday, bringing low clouds and a few showers to the Cape Canaveral area.
The operations forecast includes scattered-to-broken low clouds, good visibility, northerly winds 17-22 knots and a temperature near 76 degrees F.
The primary areas of concern will be violations to the Cumulus Cloud Rule.
