LIVE: Escaped lynx from Dartmoor Zoo

A LYNX has escaped from Dartmoor Zoo and a full-scale police hunt is underway and school children in the area are being kept indoors. Police are warning that the lynx is a dangerous animal, and members of the public should not approach the wild cat. Police were informed at 10.20am on Thursday that the lynx, which only arrived at the zoo on Wednesday, had escaped it's enclosure in Dartmoor Zoological Park. Staff and volunteers have been searching the park and the animal is now thought to burrowed beneath a fence and escaped from the zoo grounds.
