Live Blog: Boxing on CBS Sports Net
I'm not sure how much quality we'll get out of the "opponents," but it's still going to be boxing. CBS Sports Network has set aside two hours for a boxing show on a Friday night, which means we should get at least three televised fights. From the looks of the card, the main event is a welterweight fight between Emmanuel Robles (14-0-1, 4 KOs) vs. first-class palooka Gerardo Cuevas (17-15-1, 15 KOs) in Tucson, Ariz. Cuevas is such an unknown, beatable opponent that Boxrec doesn't even have a photo of him to use on his page. That will be an eight-round fight. We should get six-round fight from junior lightweights Keenan Carbajal (10-2-1, 5 KOs) taking on Lorenzo Trejo (35-31-1, 22 KOs). Heavyweight Trent Rawlins (3-0, 3 KOs) will face off against David Mbah (1-3, 1 KO). This night on CBS Sports is all about introducing up and coming talent and giving them a shot to fight on TV. These opponents are complete garbage. Let's watch these horrible fights. Chances are it will be fun. The show begins on CBS Sports Net at 11 p.m.
