The final scene from Episode 6 last week depicting the rape of Sansa Stark by her new husband, Ramsay Bolton, while Reek/Theon was forced to watch, received enormous criticism. It received a fair amount of defense as nothing particularly new for the series. Although the Ramsay and Sansa marriage doesn’t happen in the books at all, the novels are far more graphic.
